¡Forward Russia! - 16 February 2007 - Manchester Academy 2

This was a truly awesome gig. It's the first time I've had the pleasure of seeing these arty types from Leeds and they didn't dissappoint. In fact, they went well above my expectations. One of the most entertaining, in spiring gig I've been to in a long time. I went to the aftershow party at the Night and Day club as well and spoke to the band who were pleasant and not arrogant at all. They did a DJ set and I think the absinthe was a bad idea because they seemed to get a bit agitated when my mate and I started requesting rather ridiculous stuff such as Aphrodite's drum n bass remix of the Superman theme tune but they were a good laugh and realised that it was all in good cheer.

I highly recommend getting to one of their gigs soon.

I've just bought tickets for the Leeds gig - just need to book the Wednesday off now and I'm sorted. Can properly hammer it that night and not worry about work. Quality.

They started off very shouty but lately have matured, their latest single has shown a very good step in the right direction.

The guitarist for them owns the 'Dance To The Radio' label, I suggest people buy their complications some reet good stuff on them.
