Anyone else had £39.99 taken out of their account recently without authority by Foxes Player.

Mine went out yesterday I think as this amount has gone out of my account and I only signed up for the 3 month trial. Any idea of the phone number I can contact them on as I need to try and get it back.

I was just getting a TV from Comet and I had transferred funds over to help pay for it just before we headed off to the retail park. The girl put the card through and it was declined!!:098:
I rang the bank and they could only tell me the amount but this morning I got some more details which after using google lead me to the conclusion that it is Foxes Player!!

All these free trial things generally need cancelling before the end of the trial, otherwise they sign you up to it.

It's a tactic to get people to do what you did. eg. Either not read the small print or forget to cancel it.

I never sign up to free services that take bank details or credit card numbers because I just don't trust them, it can be a pain but I'd rather know what I was paying for in advance.

They attempted to take money out of my account in December even though I cancelled my subscription, fortunately I had also cancelled my DD with the bank so got a call from the bank manager asking whether or not it should be paid.

How the hell did Google tell you what a debit of £39.99 from your bank account was for?

That's amazing!

Because it would have appeared on his statement as "PREMIUM TV", and Google would lead you to their website, that tells you they do the Football League sites.

Although I would have thought most people would already know that without having to use Google.

And most people would also have read the bit that said they would automatically be subscribed to the pay service at the end of the trial unless they cancelled.

It didn't say "PREMIUM TV" as I rang Halifax before it even got that far they told me it said "Pm-Fli-Gbp" on the details they held and I managed to find it from there.

But yes Jeff I should have noted the original email and what it said but I didn't open it:mad:

You should have also noted the terms and conditions of the offer that you signed up for, before you handed over your bank details.

Foxes World haven't taken anything from you without authority, you yourself authorised them to take it.

In that case, is the thread title not libellous?
