Portugal have failed to impress in the competition, and were possibly lucky to get this far, after perennial under-achievers Spain failed to capitalise on their chances in the final group game. It is only the fact that they are playing on home soil which gives them match favouritism over England, but with so many England fans present they may not even feel like they're playing in their own stadium. Luis Figo, who helped Portugal to a 3-2 win in the last Euro finals, has looked a shadow of that former magnificent player, while England will know better than anyone about the threat posed by Ronaldo. Although Portugal have managed to keep a clean sheet so far in the competition, that record looks in jeopardy against a rampant England team who have put eight goals away in their three games. Surprisingly, none of these goals have been scored by Owen or Beckham, but it is surely only a question of time before Owen swaps the role of provider to goal scorer. He has a habit of coming good in the knockout stages of a competition, and could be value at 5/1 to score the first goal given the hype surrounding current wonder kid Wayne Rooney. This looks a golden opportunity for England to progress to the semis next Wednesday - where they could meet Sweden - so get stuck into the 7/4, and then take advantage of Bet 365's fantastic free bet offer on the game. Come on England!
###### match prices … Portugal 13/8, Draw 2/1, England 7/4.
