Think it will be a shame, but if we're not going to play him anyway then we may as well get a decent fee for him while we can.

I'm assuming if he's off to Wolves we're getting at least £1m for him, and hopefully that will be invested in a player who will improve the team - Danny Murphy, or a decent target man who will score goals, or a left winger...

Still think Fryatt will go on to be a good player though and would rather have him than De Vries.

For those that heard MA's after match chat on RL, did you not think that the way he specifically mentioned Matty Fryatt as being in the dressingroom supporting the lads that had played, implied that Matty is part of the squad and not imminently to be transfered?

When MA first got to work with MF, he would have discovered a player who was fecking up his potential on burgers, casino dallying and goodness knows what else.

MA will have come up against him at Walsall/Brentford games so will know that he's capable of being a good striker. He needs the fear of God putting through him to realise that he's got to pull his finger and deliver. I think it's smart to leave him out, play him out wide and insinuate that he'd not be that bothered if he left. He's looking for a reaction and for MF to wake up and get some fire in his belly.

He'll only leave if MA thinks he's a lost cause or if he knows he can do better with another striker.
