Gallagher has always been a bit of a black sheep in this squad. There's no question of his technical abilities - he's the best we have at the club without a doubt - but fitting in a so-called luxury player of his inconsistency has always proved a bridge too far. Unless he's scoring from 30 yards, he's often a passenger.
As much as I rate him when he's on song, I wouldn't be too upset to see him leave. He's a player we sadly can't afford to rely upon.
I'd say Marshall could give him a run for his money on technical ability
