Game of two halves

If we play like we did in the first half at Watford for the rest of the season we'll go down.

If we play like we did in the second half we'll have no worries.

We looked much more threatening once Dion went forward towards the end of the first half, he won balls that MdV, on recent form, wouldn't have got anywhere near.

Connolly's goal was the sort of chance strikers with no confidence can miss. He had ages to think about where to put the ball, but he stayed cool and took it like a striker. It's amazing how much better he became after the goal, he nearly got a second and set up the equaliser.

Credit to CL for doing whatever he did at half time, the players seemed to be much more determined. We started passing the ball round well, and spreading the play wide to stretch the Watford defence. We looked much better with Tiatto and Gillespie on. Maybury looks a really good attacking right back, but when he plays as a left back (or left wing back) he's a lot less effective going forward. Crossing the ball isn't one of Kenton's strengths, so we really needed the wide players.

It looked to me like the starting formation was designed just to contain Watford, but when we started to play a more attacking game we looked much better. I hope CL realises this and plays much more positively from the start at West Ham on Friday.

At half time i could see the " tired" excuse coming out. But must give credit for the 2nd half and coming from 2 behind.

It was a tired looking display in the first half, but I think it was mental rather than physical.

We played at a very high tempo in the second half, right up to the final whistle - and some of them looked knackered at the end.

Only 3 days to W Ham. Hope we have the legs for this one cos its starting to get a bit twitchy .Are you going webbie.

Whats happened to Jordy - not included in the squad! Seems strange because Maybury is really not a left sided player IMo and that showed against Blackburn - Big time!

Yes.

I've only been twice, and don't have good memories of it.Lost 1-3 back in the early mid 80's( Might have been Lynex with ours ).The other was a huge disapointment losing 0-2 to Charlton (ground sharing) infront of 10000 city fans , on what should have been a great day celebrating promotion. That was one of our play-off years, can't remember which one.

Train should be no problem, certainly from Leicester anyway.

I've got a first class return ticket for £25 by booking a week in advance (could have got standard class ticket for £15). I thought it was worth the extra tenner for first class, you get proper first class treatment during the week, so they bring free food, drink, newspapers to your seat.

Had to book a specific train though, so I'm on the 23:40 from St Pancras, so I won't be home until nearly 2AM.

I've not risked trying to get the 22:25 train home - there are always long queues for the tube after West Ham games so I don't think I'd make it to St Pancras on time.

It seems a long while ago. There was a load of 'baldies' next to me at that game. I think they were Kevin "rooster" Russell fans
