What he was saying was ‘Mr Levein; we can see you don’t know what you’re doing, you’re frustrated and nothing you do appears to be working. We realise you want your team to win but it isn’t and is not likely to in the near future. We have lost faith in you, you have lost faith with yourself and perhaps it might be better all round if you went back to playing against teams like Inverness Caledonian Thistle where your tactics and abilities may be more fruitful.’
Harsh words? Maybe they are in view of the fact that he has only been here a year, but a year is a long time in football and we have old ‘Jutty Jaw’ coming to see us in the next game. He too was out of his depth and was unable to produce the team that we wanted. I fully realise that our club is ‘strapped for cash’ but I would at least like to see some of our players being able to take a corner that doesn’t fall short, a free kick that doesn’t end up in row Z and a defence that is balanced with players playing in positions they are best suited for.
As a lifelong supporter of Leicester City and a football lover I feel I have every right to see ‘my team’ doing the best they can. At present I am not seeing that and I have to say I do not intend to renew my season ticket for next season in my current frame of mind since I do not enjoy enduring a 200 mile round trip on the M1 to watch utter dross at Filbert Way.
Mr Levein you and your team either shape up or ship out before the ‘true fans’ begin voting with their feet. If you had turned round you would have seen the ‘mime artist’ showing you what you really look like.
Once again I invite you to come and sit with and listen to the fans, you just might learn something.
