I know he's had his critics over the last couple of seasons, but I thought Gillespie was starting to turn the corner and had the potential to be a really good player for us next season. Thoughts?

I think he did improve, but its not hard to improve on the really poor performances he had put in before. I think if he had a little more confidence to run at the defenders he would probably still be here. I am alittle shocked to see him go though

I'll be the first to admit I've sung his praises recently as he has improved considerably, but were the improved performances contract related, in Gillespie's case, probably.

I wish him all the best, but CL has got to get rid of all the "dead wood" and I think looking at the people he has released today, he is well on his way. Even Walker didn't seem to be interested towards the end of the season.

Now CL go and get some better replacements, and take us back to the promised land.

Sometimes, not when it could be avoided though. Much prefered drinking in the Red Lion and playing pool. Actually got an English degree, just haven't really used it for 5 years.
