Transfer-listed Forest defender Alan Rogers today stood firm, telling manager Gary Megson: "I"m going nowhere".

The 28-year-old was among five players Megson transfer listed following Forest"s relegation into League One.
But Rogers, who says he is happy at the club where he still has two years left on his contract, is determined to stay.

"I have been told that I have gone on the transfer list but I still have another two years on my contract," he said. "The ball is firmly in my court.

"I love being at Forest and think I have done well when I have played for the manager, setting up goals for the likes of Gareth Taylor.

"I think I have done all right but the only person who is going to decide when I leave is me and it is going to take something exceptional for me to go because I have still got two years left."

Rogers rejoined the Reds last summer after a successful loan spell which helped Joe Kinnear"s team avoid the drop.

Forest paid £2m for him from Tranmere in 1997 and he left after four years as the club tried to cut its wage bill.

Adam Nowland, David Johnson, Marlon King and Kevin James have also been told they are on the transfer list. All, apart from King, have two years left on their deals.

The former Gillingham striker, who cost £950,000 in November 2003, has another three years.

I don't blame him, though he must have realised by now that Forest are not a Club to rely on. :D :D  ;-)

Thanks Webbo, that's a relief to us all (unless you support Forest of course).

best thing i've ever heard him say. if only he had that sort of commitment on the pitch as well. go get 'em in league 1 podgers!!

That must rival Akinbadbiyi for one of the biggest rip-offs in football history.

proves though that Rogers has no ambition. Any other player would want to go to another club higher up to achieve more. Or maybe Rogers is so shite that noone would want him.

IMO Drogba is a decent player around the area but his finishing is crap.
Agree though he is never worth 20M +.

Apparently (According to Townsend), 10 of those 20 odd million pounds went to Drogba's agent.
