Sheffield United boss Bryan Robson has confirmed his interest in signing Celtic's Thomas Gravesen.
Robson is a big admirer of the former Everton midfielder and is keen to bring him to Bramall Lane.
Gravesen has failed to live up to expectations at Celtic since arriving from Real Madrid last August and struggled to hold down a place in Gordon Strachan's side last season.
Robson revealed he is in talks with Celtic and he is hoping to persuade Gravesen to make the move to the Championship.
"I have an interest in Thomas Gravesen and would like to bring him to Sheffield United," said Robson.
"We are in discussions with Celtic over the issue and, hopefully, we can sort out some kind of agreement with them. "I'm not sure if I can persuade Thomas to come here but I'd like to have the chance to speak to him."

Thomas Gravesen is aiming to stay at Celtic, rather than consider a move to Sheffield United.
New Blades boss Bryan Robson has expressed an interest in adding the Danish midfielder to his squad.
But Gravesen's agent John Sivebaek admits the former Everton player's intention is to stick with the Scottish champions.
"It is hard to imagine Thomas in Sheffield," Sivebaek told Politiken. "At this moment he has decided he will stay at Celtic.
"It is his intention to stay at Celtic and show everybody they have been wrong about him. Thomas likes living in Scotland and likes the Celtic fans. The problem has been playing time on the pitch.
"Now he has given himself time to fight his way back and I think he is able to do that. Celtic have given no indication that they will not accept him doing that."
Celtic boss Gordon Strachan appears happy to leave a decision in Gravesen's hands and will not force the player out of Parkhead.
Strachan said: "The last time I spoke to Bryan Robson he was in Las Vegas for the Ricky Hatton fight. People can talk, but I'm happy with my squad, I really am.
"People will move only if they want to move. Everybody, if they are here, has a future. "Players always decide. I'm really happy with the squad. They will only go if they come to me."
