Im sure the win today(providing extra cash) may have an influence on the player/players CL had lined up before the March transfer deadline. I suppose any Scottish players brought in could play in the cup, which would be a bonus.

To be honest I'm not sure...we should be able to sign players from the premiership though. I know they can't sign anyone because of the transfer window, but I thought that we could sign players from prem clubs.

Correct me if I'm wrong though

We can indeed sign players from the prem, just like Leeds signed Hulse from WBA after the window, however, we are not allowed to sign from foreign clubs, that includes from Scotland, so I suspect CL has someone from the Prem lined up.

If we had money to stretch to two players, we should try to get Shipperly in...he had an awesome partnership with Connolly at Wimbledon. It might be just the tonic we need to start climbing this league.

However, if we only have money for one the priority has to be our defence

We do not need Shipperley. He was no good in his prime so he aint gonna be any better now!

...and besides the club have only just re-stocked on Pukkas since The Pieman left. We just escaped going into administration again because of this and was the REAL reason we terminated his contract. Shipperley would get through them at around the same pace....
