How much research was done on the site of the walkers stadium before it was built. Was it that bare knuckle champion Rufus Hardman,s eviction in 1874 who decreed that nobody from the city will make good of this land.
O.k maybe thats complete bollox but i can't help thinking that we left Filbo and inherited a curse at the walkers.
Of course its probaly that the team is simply not up to it, but my other theory is that we don't feel at home at the walkers.
Having followed city through many dark times i always felt filbo had its own character which the walkers has not developed. On a poor day at filbo there was more atmosphere in a 14000 crowd than in a 28000 at the walkers.I have come to the conclusion that the away teams enjoy playing at our ground more than we do.
Lets hope CL sorts this mental block about the walkers,if not i will start to think there realy was a Rufus Hardman

One thing I did see on the sky sports ticker 'Reading have never beaten Leicester in any competition'

Saw the same thing myself and thought theres a feckin kiss of death if ever I saw one.

I definately think theres a problem with the mental attitude at home,it seems they go out trying not to lose rather than going out to win.Not to sure about a Gypsys Curse,Dublin plays like a streak of Gypsys kiss sometimes though.

He enjoys giving Pikey snogs aswell.

gypsys

Perhaps how next signing should be Paul McKenna. He might convince the players that we are unbeatable at the walkers.Might even convince Blake that he is a footballer. Well o.k maybe thats beyond a miracle.Would like to hear peoples thoughts on our woeful walkers form though, coz i am not confident we will get past Blackpool in the cup let alone beat any championship sides :(
