What particular event was the best then in the last season, despite it being so bad! My favourite was Charlton away (my only away trip this season :( ) when big dion got the winner in the last minute-reminded me of what being a football fan is all about. What's everyone elses?

Two for one special offer:

Best - hammering KovSkum at home. :smt036

Worst - waiting for ages for a bus outside the Majeski Stadium, Reading while it pissed it down with rain after watching the most boring game of football ever. :smt015

Derby away was quality....

Best: For me it was the start of the season just before playing West Ham. Was feeling very confident for a quick return to the Premiership with Dublin and Connolly scoring loads pre-season.

Worst: When I realised that we weren't up to it and not only were we not going to be promoted, relegation was a mathamatical possibility.

Not being relegated...

Derby at home was good.

Don't get down to too many games anymore, so the worst must be making an early morning start to get to Burnley on New Years day - we all know what happened there!

Highlight : Derby at home was a great atmosphere, doing the double on them too. Forest Relegated. Derby not promoted. Thrashing Covscum.

Lowlights : being too low in a fizzy pop league for our own good, losing to the trees at home. drawing against blackpool at home, diabolical performance. losing key players at the start of the season.

highlight beating real mallorca lowlight watching east bengal against maritimo i'd rather forget the rest.

Highlight: The Chicken Burger in Perth before watching us play St Johnstone in July
Lowlight: Having to sit next to a smelly piss stenching old bastard on the coach from Glasgow to Perth on the same day.

The rest of it was totally forgetable...thank christ.

HF did not mention "taking homer home" as either a highlight or lowlight. Therefore if he had "taken homer home" it was so totally forgettable, it was as though it had never happened. I meant it in that sense. ;-)

Some of the highlights of last season were as follows:

  1. Gary Kelly's stupendous own goal at Elland Road and the roaring "One Gary Kelly, there's only one Gary Kelly, one Gary Kelly....." chant afterwards

    Doing the double over Derby.

    Thrashing Coventry

Dublin's last gasp winner away to the Addicks

Getting rid of a multitude of crap

    BY DELETING 20000 posts (twice)
Crap season but a transitional one normally is (all bar 1995/96 season of course). Next year must be better and IMO will be very enjoyable.

Highlight: beating Derby at home, we made Derby look so ordinary.
Lowlight: when I said to my mate "wouldn't it be funny if he scored from a kick out", just before Lonagan scored.
