The reviews have been less than kind, I'm not a gore hound so I will avoid it. I think it's one of those films that thinks it's making some kind of clever political point but misses the mark by a long long way. The review in The Guardian is quite insightful:

Its alright, not nearly as shocking and scary as it could be. there are however some very gruesome moments. overall i'd say 65/100.

i went last night, a very gorey film at times however i felt it lacked a structure really. the end just appeared and he was only in the horrible part of the storey for a very short time. the idea of the film is brilliant but i feel it could have been alot better, had big pottential. the eye ball scene is horrible.

I went to see it last night. What a crock of shite.

The gorey scenes were very cheesy, and were more comical than anything, it didn't seem that a lot of thought had gone into the scenes. The only one of note was the cutting of the Achilles tendon.

I agree with Lako, the idea behind the film does have potential and it could have been done far more scary and gruesome.
