Does anyone know how to apply for the manager's job? I was just wondering whether it was as simple as picking up an application form, or in this case is it only if MM approaches you? Any ideas?

Just ask your agent to have a word with MM's agent.

But you may be too late - looks like the short list is already drawn up.

There will probably be another chance in a couple of months

Yes - you can collect the application form and job description from the ticket office during normal business hours.

There is also an application pack available online on the official web site in both PDF and Word format - but you still need to get a signed hard copy into Milan before Wednesday at 5pm.

Not sure if I am just being gullible here but where is it on the official website - all I can find is a section that states that there are no job vacancies :icon_conf

It has stopped me :icon_lol:

As I said the alternative is for you to collect the application pack at the tcket office.

Given the impending deadline, may I suggest that you give them a ring in advance just to check out that they have a spare biro available - then you could fill it on the counter - and ask if it can be handed promptly to Milan personally.

Have you yet considered who you will name as your referee (not the kind that officiate at matches)..... there must be some suitably eminent t.ballers who would be happy to support your application.

Best of luck with the application.

Not that I didn't consider you guys, but luckily I am good mates with Holloway so won't be needing your services. Thanks for all your help though - fancy an assistant manager position if I am successful. In fact, f*ck it - do you want to play?! :icon_wink

I've already applied & I reckon I'm a shoe in.
I just said to Milan "look mate,**** it...we all know what you actually want so here's the deal.Appoint me as manager, give me a 3 year contract at £250,000 a year & I'll just turn up on matchdays & talk to the press & such.Meanwhile u sign players pick team & phone the tactical changes, substitutions & such through to me in the dugout from the director's box & basically actually BE the manager.Like you've always wanted."

Expect a press conference announcing my appointment on Thursday.

May I suggest that your job description is modified to clarify that you will only be required to talk to the press on those occasions after we have lost the game - Milan is quite capable of dealing with the press on other occasions.

All you need to do is write to MM enclosing a covering letter and your CV.

I actually applied for the position before Levein was appointed. I honestly beleived that I could do a much better job than all of those being touted at the time.

Funny thing was, I got my rejection letter two days AFTER Levein was appointed, so I must have been in the running until the end. Got a nice letter from Tim Davies to thank me for my interest, and ensuring me that I would be considered for all future appointments for the position of manager.

I will try to find the letter and get it on here in the next couple of days :icon_lol:

I would have thought you would be a front runner for the Chelsea vacancy - just send a photo-copy (not the valuable original of course) of your acknowledgement letter from Tim Davies and that should ensure you are short listed along with other top names.

Or, as was not unknown when I was appointing to senior posts, once it was all over someone said "Oi, has anyone sent the let-down letters to the nutters pile yet?"
