I did try to warn you!

After Levein left Hearts I did try to warn you guys that -

1. His tactics were mind numbingly boring.

2. A 0-0 at home seemed acceptable to him - first priority safety first and do not lose.

3. He played players totally out of position.

4. His signings were p*ss poor.

5. Any players that didn't run around like headless chickens for 90 minutes were OUT - no matter how skilful.

6. He is an arrogant S*D.

7. He is tactically inept.

These observations were based on watching Hearts for the 3 years he was in charge however (perhaps understandably) some LCFC fans saw my critiscms as sour grapes.

Anybody out there agree with me now?

He made his reputation by getting Hearts into 3rd place two years running however -

1. He had NO competion outside the Old Firm. Hibs, Aberdeen, etc, were all in a total shambles with huge wage cutbacks. Much was made of the cutbacks at Hearts however CL still had the largest wage budget outwith the Old Firm.

2. The entertainment value was NIL - just the big lump forward to MDV and everybody behind the ball - SOUND FAMILIAR? His first priority was let's not get beat even at home against weaker teams - end result? Totally boring 0-0 draws - SOUND FAMILIAR?

3. The one thing Levein can do is come across like an intelligent, tactically shrewd Manager - don't let the glasses fool you - HE AINT!

I'm not on the wind up here guys - he is not good enough for LCFC! Suggest you sent him back across the border, I believe Cowdenbeath are looking for a Manager!

Not this season.

As you probably know Hearts have had major investment and have made some big signings - Takis, European Cup winner with Greece, Jankowskas, Champions League winner with Porto, plus other International players fom the Czech Rep, etc.

Top of the league and playing some fantastic football under George Burley. We would more than hold our own in the Championship - at the very least.

Although it pains me to say it Hibs are also a quality team with a lot of young really good players - they also would do some damage in your league.

Why on earth does this concern you?? You are top of the SPL, go enjoy it. When we were riding high in the Premeirship I didn't see too many people from here on Wolves forums gloating about McGhee.
