I think its a good idea but i think the reason behind it is that tigers have standing and one of the things they're not happy about is it being an all seater stadium, therefore is more likly to be because of that than because he actually wants to see it. i went to a all standing game last night, was excelent, but i tihink in todays world its unrealist.

That bit about teams in the top 2 divisons having to have all seater stadiums can't be right because Wasall's ground actually built standing in the purple loans stand behind the goal.

I like Tim too, we have spoken for an hour or so and I must say that for his faults, and the fact that we didn't agree on everything...he cares and we are lucky to have him at this club.

He is keen on a standing area, we first talked about it with him a few months after he started his role at the club. Being raised now as a result of the Tigers plan we would have our best chance of success and a good reason to be the 'trial' ground for football in the UK.

Sorry to burst your bubble but they'd have to change the law first...For LCFC?!?!?...wishful thinking!

I thought standing was ok as long as the correct regulations are adhered to.

what? like being outside the top two divisions?
I think I'd prefer to sit down rather than that criteria be fulfilled !

Yes it does but not for the Tigers fans to use it for next season.

Then it puts us in prime position to carry out a trial for football as we will already have the seats installed.

Much political lobbying required but that has already commenced mainly by the FSF & now the new StandUpSitDown organisation.

I thought there was just a framework in which licencing took place. That is to say there is no law covering what the criteria are for getting a licence and that the FLA (Football Licencing Authority?) decide the criteria.

If I am correct (BIG if  ) then there is nothing to stop a standing area from being licenced save for the actions of the FLA.

You must be able to have standing, as I said earlier Wasall's bescott stadium has it and theyw ere in Divison 1, or the 'Chamipionship' or whatever last season and had it. Infact they planned to put more in on one of their other stands but then they got relegated.

Don't really know where this leaves us...

And isn't Gillingham standing behind the goal?
