Fax received by Rangers advertising Mr Walkers availabilty now that their first choice keeper has been ruled out injured for the rest of the season.

Although Rangers are looking for somebody temporary, and that would probably mean he aint suitable, it confirms my suspicion that he wont be signing a new conract at LCFC.

Stranger things have happened mind you.....

I think any player in his position would start looking around.

We might not have offered him a new contract, and even if we have I don't think many players would sign it without seeing what's on offer elsewhere.

Agreed. Good Point.

I think he'll get a better (financial) offer elsewhere. I'll be very surprised if he's here next season.

We have a number of players out of contract in the summer, and I'm pretty sure ther agents will be furiously touting their services round as we speak

I don't blame him - we'll offer him peanuts, if anything at all

I was thinking about this the other day...does anyone (aka MB ;)) know if we've made any offers to keep any of our players who are out of contract this summer?

I have heard from somebody that Walker wont be signing a new contract with us (if one is offered!) because he wants to move back to London.

Rangers have signed a keeper from Man City, but that isn't to say that Walker won't be going to some other club.

Maybe Walkers waiting to see if we make it to the Premiership before he makes his decision. Im sure he would like to end his career in the Premier and he has more chance of getting in the team here than any other Premiership club

HBopefully other teams will be put because he aint played all season and if he sees CL improving things, he might stay if the money is ok.
IMO a good goal keeper is worth paying for.

Any manager worth their salt will tell you that you build a team from the back. I would love to keep Walks for another few seasons!

Not much chance.
CL stated this weekend that its vital that they continue to trim the wage bill.
Bye bye Walker
