Webbo or anyone interested, would it be possible to design an icon for people's desktops that forms a shortcut straight to http://www.talkingballs.co.uk/

I think, as a direct link to the site, people will frequent it more often.

having the site as my homepage is almost a direct link.

what a bunch of savage bastards. try to explain the importance of talkingballs, and the possitive impact some healthy debate and discussion has upon your mind. discuss with them the pattern that has emerged in your work from when you are able to look at the site and when they unforgivably stop such viewing. only then will the company realise the boards possitive impact upon your work, and interaction with collegues and customers alike.

if you want a little button on your desktop,

1. while on the web page click file, save as and save the page to your desktop.
2. minimise everythin on your screen so that your desktop shows. you should see the link to the webpage on there
3. if you have your quick launch icons on your toolbar (the little icons next to the start button)...........
click and drag the webpage icon to the toolbar and place in with the quick launch buttons.

then you will have a direct link to http://www.talkingballs.co.uk on your screen all the time

If you don't have the quick launch icons on your toolbar......
1. right click on the toolbar, select propertiesn then tick the box that says "show quick launch". thats for XP users, may be different otherwise.

as for a fancy icon, there is a way to change it on your own pc but i dont know how.

or just set it as your homepage as stated before

Nathan, thanks for all this but I already knew all that, and I know how to make icons, I was merely suggesting that webbo or someone design an icon for talkingballs, not how to create shortcuts. Thanks though.

well lets see if i can find something that will help....

i didn't expect you to be so 'advanced'. well done.
