i've just updated to internet explorer 7 and the text on this site has changed slightly-is there anwyay i can change it back

In what way has it changed?

the font still verdana but it just looks slightly bolder and more rigid-i did notice at the start it said something about making text easier to read

It did that to me, try changing your settings in ie somewhere to clear font or somert.

I did it, it didn't work, but eventually it's returned to normal

You can change the font size, but you can't change the font.

You can:

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Always use Clear Type for HTML (or similair)
