What have they done to our game?

Some right stupid ****ers making stupid ****ing decisions at this club.

If true worst signing in history.

I hope we see the best of him at some point soon.

They will be falling over themselves to get him.

I think that given a run in the team he’d find his feet. Players don’t attract transfer fees and wages of that size at 20 for no reason. Problem is I don’t see him getting games because we don’t have that kind of squad management. Never have. The club has built an enormous squad and yet we still see similar squad usage to when O’Neill was managing the club; about half the starting lineup is guaranteed to start every week, so with a squad this size about half our senior players aren’t getting a look in at all. No wonder they’re pretty much feckin’ useless.

Agree with this, he's still nowhere near being worth £115k a week, even in this ****ed up climate

While £115k a week is beyond comprehension for any normal working individual, it's nothing in the modern world of football - you only have to look at release clauses Real have put on Bale, Kroos, Benzema etc. Over £400m in all cases. It's ridiculous to think any footballer is worth £115k a week - if Ihenacho plays for 15 years that equates to £83m in wages alone. One thing to consider is if he 'retired' at 35, if we spread that total salary out to the age of 66, it equates to £1.5m per year. A huge salary nonetheless, but perhaps more believable.

Apparently Antoine Griezmann has said he will go to Man Utd but only if they up the wage offer to £400,000 a week :icon eek:

When l seen the sum mentioned l nearly fell off my wife, how can we as a club afford to pay those wages? We are not the bank of England,so how come we are giving this kind of money to a Squad player? Have any of you seen that kind of value in his performances????

A perfect summary of our problems. Iheanacho not only attracted a large fee but Manchester City were very clear and very insistent on the clause allowing him to return. They must've seen something good in him. He needs to play games and regularly if he's to find his feet but I just don't see that happening here.

There's bluff. And then there's double-bluff.

Perhaps we've been bluffed or double-bluffed. I can't work out which.
