....it's all my fault.

This is the first season since the 1986-87 season that I have not been to a single LCFC match all season.

Had it not been for the Barnsley fiasco (the incorrect information that tickets would not be on sale on the gate) then I'd have not broken this record. Alas, it's been broken.

I do feel slightly guilty but then at the same time, what does that say about the state of our club? Usually I am keen to get to a few away games but this season has looked so bleak that I've basically not wanted to waste my money.

I think those of you that have been to lots and lots of the games deserve a medal.

You could have bought tickets in advance, people offered to get you some and you were told that tickets would probably be available, despite the official position, but you still didn't go to a match that was the easiest game of the season for you to get to.
So that suggests you didn't really want to go anyway.

I don't think that's how a public forum works Joe_

I'm pretty sure that any member of the forum can respond to your thread, especially Jeff.

I went to about six last season and all were rubbish.

I'm sure you will make more of an effort if we get up near the Championship play offs or Premiership* :icon_wink

*Please note I have not given a time scale for when this will happen

The thing is, you are probably right Willlow. It's hard to justify spending lots of money on football when you often get no joy from it.

It's almost sadistic!

I know what you mean, I decided not to renew my season ticket this season because it felt like a long way to go to see a team with no fight; I don't mind us losing if the players actually showed some passion when the played, which in turn meant my passion for going to games dwindle. However I am seriously considering getting a season ticket next season, maybe in the foolish hope it can't get much worse, regardless of what division we're in :icon_conf

Our average gates next season IF we get relegated will be no more than 17,000.
That's about what the average was when I started going to the football when we were at Filbert Street.

I'd say the city has a core of about 16,000 week in week out fans. Maybe not season ticket holders, but regular attendees.

If Holloways gone, i will continue going, wherever we are.And if we start well and show, the crowds will be up there again.
