CL has LOTS of work to do here, so don't get distracted just get on with the job you've got, that is while you've still got it.

Don't get your hopes up, we don't have the funds to get rid of him. Not only that look at the number of coaching staff he has, it would cost us a bomb to get rid! I suspect we may now of waited long enough, lots of people said by Christmas we would of picked up - and we haven't we are right down there! So now Mr Levien its time to do the honerable thing and fall on your sword, before the axe falls on you.

Wouldn't it cost us more if we went down a division?

Thing is I dont think we have the money in hand to do it. What does get me though is the apparent lack of pressure from the Board! When a manager is doing crap (as CL is!) then the board step in and say, "come on lad- this isnt good enough. Step it up a gear or we might have to consider some things" But where is Tim Davis now?

Prehaps by giving some urgancy to CL then he would give some passion to the players. Right now he seems to be swaning along as though he doesnt have a care in the world!:mad::mad:

Tim Davis is the same place now that he was when MA was under pressure, nowhere to be seen, leaving the manager isolated.

As ever we get silence from the people who run the club, CL is their man, do they not want to be associated with him for fear of taking some of the blame for the steady decline?

As someone said in another thread, I think we are now 50/50 for relegation.

If the board believe there is a better manager out there who they could persuade to take the job then CL should go, but only if there is someone they feel would be better. Sacking CL at this point as a punishment would be the wrong way to go.

Great post Bobby, I want CL out now as he really feel he has lost the plot and the dressing room and I fear that 2 or 3 panic buys in January could really fecks us up, we need loans in now, who or what sort of player is going to want to sign on a permanent basis for a club and manager that is teetering on the brink.

As you point out, where the feck is the supposed Board of Director's most of which are meant to be supporters, I know these are the people who appointed Levein, and too be far based on what he had achieved at Hearts and his philosphy on the game, it was a decision I can accept was made, however it is clearly obvious that it hasnt worked out, what the reasons are for that could be a number of issues, most or some we may never know, but now surely is the time to say enough is enough and have the balls to admit that their appointment, however imaginative and ambitious it appeared at the time, isnt working.

We can ill afford the likes of TD taking the John Elsom approach, as he did with Taylor, the writing was on the wall after that horrific end of season run following the cup exit to Wycombe, but out of blind loyalty, stupidity and stubborness the man was allowed to not only keep his job, but he was also given more funds to squander, then end result we all know too well. Whilst Levein is certainly no Taylor, the situation is very similar, it is clearly obvious he is struggling to come to terms with the tactical side of the english game, so do we really afford him the opportunity to squander money on more players not suited to the championship.

One last thing, TD if you ever read this forum, when Levein does go, please, please, please include Martin George in any discussions about successors, the guy appointed 3 very good up and coming managers from the lower divisions in his time as chairman, please use his expertise.

To me, its been obvious since Administration, that an incompetent board has been replaced by what is to all intents and purposes an invisible board.

There is no leadership of any kind at the Walkers and that is our biggest problem.

They thought they had made a decent choice as manager - as did most of us - and he has turned out to be a dud. It's as simple as that.

The CL Reading interview just confirms that he is adrift from football reality. He turns out a 'not a hope' line up for the game and then turns round a says
please stick around for about 3 years whilst we all get used to each other. Not a chance!

Get a grip, board of directors!

My vote for post of the year......Perfect, RF (except you could have added 'incompetent' to the 'invisible board' bit)!!
