I assumed it would be 4-3-3 with Hammond playing as a holding midfielder, I assume that's why he was picked ahead of James who is a less defensive player.

Two of them have a different natural position than left back though. But tbh of the 3 of them the natural left back is the one I would not want on the pitch in that position.
