Not quite!

The two cautions which were given to Plymouth players will be recorded and count towards a ban for 5/10/15 such cautions.

So in theory a player could start 5 games, get booked in each and then the game called off.
He would then have a 3 match ban, but technically not played a single game.

No, he would get a one-match ban. It is one match for three cautions, two for ten and three for fifteen.

I would be interested to know why you think that misconduct should be ignored just because the match was not completed. What about a sending-off for violent conduct in an abandoned game; do you think that should similarly be let go without further ado?

jessel are you having a Giraffe?
You dont have to start each thread with a poll!
oh and boc, yeah violent conduct should be let go, hey its only a bit of handbags, the egg chasers get away with it!

erm, it's a one-match ban after 5 cautions not 3 ;) and it's only up until the beginning of march i think so if you get your fifth after that you wont get a ban.

I thought that as well but didn't say anything because Boc seems in a bad mood today and it might swear at me...

I know. I was hoping a mod would spot that and change it for me. They seem to have a lot of time on their hands today.

Correct, although they term it as the last day in February. After that a player with 5 cautions is "warned as to future conduct" - whatever that means!!

they basicly get a letter through the post saying "be good". not that i can see that making much difference.

I wonder if they'll give you free pies at the rearranged match if you bought one at half time in the abandoned match?!!!!?

Me in a bad mood? Only with people that upset me - and you are not one of them!

it is annoying that say if you get booked in an abonded game it counts, but joey will still be suspended for the southampton game:icon_conf
