And Ian Holloway I reckon may be the right man for the job here you know. I know he sounds funny, but the point is, he IS funny, a character, one of the lads etc. this may work very well for us, and bring back some of the much-needed team spirit.

So viewers...what do we think?

.... and that is the best you can do. :P

I wouldnt grumble if we got Holloway as manager, he's a top bloke and knows what he's doing.

He's doing well with QPR at the moment and took them up last season with not alot of cash, could be a great manager for us.

Ian Holloway is who i think will be offered the job. He's got this typical LCFC style release clause in his contract, about £50k i think, and IMO he would be the right man to bring in.

I think the club would have to make an official approach. Mad biker hasn't mentioned his name, but a dicky bird has to me

Thats what they said about Peter Taylor - 'one of the lads'. In management i think this is a bad thing. Players need to know who the boss is. They need to respect the manager and when they cross the white line they need to be prepared to put their bodies on the line. When the manager is one of the lads I think players tend to get in comfort zones and not push themselves to the limit.

i think this was part of MAs problem.
with all the administration stuff everyone was 'together' and i don't think he ever managed to take a big enough step back afterwards.
which made it more difficult for him to maintain the 'i'm the boss-you're the player' attitude.

I have to admit that whilst Holloway has done a magnificent job at QPR, I dont think he would be up to the task of managing our club.

IMO we may well suffer the same problems as MA when it comes to dealing with high profile players, it has to be someone who commands the respect of the dressing room.

For me either a rookie manager with a been there, seen it, done it type of playing career for example :

Stuart Pearce
Tony Adams
Gary McAllister

Or it has to be an established manager with a decent track record :

George Burley
Gordan Strachan
Glenn Hoddle
George Graham

What we can ill afford to do is go down the route of employing a manager who has never really distinguished themselves as a player or as yet achieved anything outside the lower leagues :

Phil Parkinson
Ian Holloway
Gary Johnson
Dave Penney

We had better hurry up if we want SP .
F****t will be looking when they kick out JK.I would not complain if he joined us though.

Pearce - I like the idea of pearce but it would be a big gamble. I'm not one for leicester appointing unproven managers but with pearce I think we would certainly get a team who would fight like hell.
Tony adams - no way. Hasn't shown enough at wycombe for me. With the squad he has at wycombe they should be alot better than they currently are.
Gary Macallister - His record says alot. Didn't do that well with coventry so why should he with leicester.
Burley - wouldn't leave derby.
Strachan - wouldn't be interested.
Hoddle - lunatic.
Graham - a step back. Out of the game for too long. No thanks.
Phil Parkinson - hasn't achieved enough in the game yet.
Ian Holloway - Has done well with QPR but not entirely convinced by him. Still think QPR with slump.
Gary Johnson - don't know enough about the guy.
Dave Penney - Has the record. Get him in!

I understand what you are saying but the characters who you describe as "high profile" players I would describe as "has beens with inflated egos & still more inflated wage packets". I suggest that we want some low profile players who want to achieve something for themselves & Leicester City. I'm afraid Micky has collected a whole bunch of so called "high profile" players who the next manager should sideline rather than concern himself about.
