I am looking forward to this one immensely. Followed the Manics since their inception and have seen them inexcess of 10 times, most notably Knebworth supporting Oasis in '96 and the massive Manic Millenium on New Years 1999 at the Millenium Stadium and a fantastic gig at the De Montfort Hall with Catatonia supporting.

Should eb interesting tonight, I have seen the set list and it's a combo of his new material, manics songs and covers

The Manics are one of the two 5+ album bands that I have bought all the albums in order at the time of release, the other being Metallica

This could have been a pretty good album, the songs are well written and it's played well, but then come the vocals...

Nicky Wire's singing is as bad as my mate Hodders doing karaoke. But Hodders makes us laugh. And it doesn't cost me a tenner to listen to him. To be honest, I was starting to think that this could be a wind up. I can't see this album ever getting played again, unless Hodders comes over wanting to sing karaoke.
