Development Squad defender James Pearson has joined League 1 outfit Peterborough United on loan until the end of the season.
Pearson has already enjoyed a spell out on loan at Conference Premier side Wrexham earlier in the 2014/15 season and is familiar with the rigours of League 1 football having played at Carlisle United last campaign.
The promising right-back made his first team debut for the Foxes in the Capital One Cup defeat to Shrewsbury back in August and has captained Steve Beaglehole’s Under-21s on a number of occasions this season.
Pearson will hope to help Peterborough strengthen their bid for promotion to the Championship when they next host Coventry City on Saturday 28 March before a trip to Tom Hopper’s Scunthorpe United on Friday 3 April.
