Jani Sturm falls through

Slovenia international Jani Sturm's expected summer move to City has fallen through because he has failed a medical check on a long-standing groin problem.

Along with Hearts midfielder Patrick Kisnorbo, Sturm had been secured on a pre-contract but now Levein will have to concentrate further on making up for the absence of the attacking midfielder.

The summer recess looks like being a busy time for the City boss who was already gauging the prospects of bringing in up to six more new players before pre-season starts on the first day of July.
