The 65 yo linked with a move to us as Kellys "older head"
Source : Todays Sunday People.
I could think of worse moves eg Hollaway!

The bald eagle certainly has experience (and favours football on the ground)
But his Derby links put me off a little
However if it comes off, not too dissappointed, as long as its short term.

According to the Sunday People hes the "old head" to help RK. Maybe not a bad shout until the end of the season. apart from his Ram links ive always thought he was ok (likes football played on the grass), unlike one of the other remaining candidates from QPR!

Provided it is only temporary. :icon_conf :icon_wink ;) :023:

A guy claiming to have a connection to Rob Kelly is saying on FoxesTalk that Kelly has been approached by the board to put forward names of experienced managers he has worked with before, that he would be happy to work with here. Apparently he has suggested Colin Lee and Tony Parkes.

That would be a good shout..

Parkes is at Blackpool. :icon_roll

Why does RK need an 'older head'?
He's doing just grand isn't he?

IMO Kelly needs somebody in to help and take some of the workload off him, remember at the moment there is really only Kelly and Stowell, so an old head to come in and take the pressure off, would surely be welcomed. Whilst Kelly has done superbly, he is only human and the longer this scenario continues the more likely it will start to take it's toll and possibly start to have an adverse effect on results.

Get somebody in now and help Rob maintain the drive, energy and enthusiasm.

Wasnt Colin Lee rated as one of the finest coaches in the game, when he was working with McGhee. If so, would be a decent appointment, as would Parkes, although I think he is based in the North West, always has been so not sure whether the commute my be a problem for Parkes, also he is on a short term deal at Blackpool, assisting Grayson, I would be surprised if he left there for a similar short term arrangement.

isn't Colin Lee already the D of F of Millwall?

Yes he is. Has not done much in his last few jobs has he? How about Craig Levein as DoF (he he he)

I would not disagree with this move if it happened.

My one concern about Jim Smith, is that whenever he was doing an interview after the game, i can't really understand him. I think that may be due to the fact he had already had a bottle or two of red wine or something in the dug-out during the game.

Maybe its only me, I don't know?
