Johno Makes Return Against Stags
Rob Kelly was able to give a number of his first team squad players a run out when the Foxes took on Mansfield Town in a training game at Belvoir Drive on Tuesday afternoon.

Andy Johnson, who returned to training following a lengthy absence with an ankle injury on Monday, got 60 minutes of action under his belt, while Nisse Johansson, Darren Kenton, Richard Stearman, James Wesolowski, Chris O'Grady and Danny Cadamarteri also featured on the day.

For the record the Foxes ran out 5-0 winners - with youngsters Louis Dodds (3), Max gradel and Andy King grabbing the goals.

Dodds is worth a spot of the bench again on Saturday. If there is anywhere we can afford to blood youngsters its up front and right wing because youthful naivety does not pay big in these areas. Stick Gradel on the right wing.

wonder what Kenton played like? cant be any worse than how he played V sunderland!

A striker, a box-to-box midfielder and a Right Winger. No need to splash the cash. ;)

A reserve team would be a good idea. Just about every other club thinks so...

sorry to harp on.

We do desperately need a reserve team that plays regularly... Would've helped the likes of Fryatt get fitter and back on form a lot quicker I think. Not having one makes players like O'Grady, Sheehan and Dodds almost unuseable as well, since they get no chance to gain/maintain match fitness. Means if they do get a chance in the first team then they won't be sharp enough to make an impact.

But I'm sure it's much too late to do anything now for this season. Just have to sort it out for next year, but it's something that needs sorting asap.

play the whole team on sat. 5 goals :icon_lol:

No. :icon_bigg ;) However I do think his arguments have been backed up by Porter. ;)

Yeh, but Porter plays a position where we can allow some naivety. To throw all the youngsters in would leaves us without a spine. I don't mind Gradel and Dodds because their positions are very much 'open' places, where if a mistake is made it doesn't cost us a goal, thereby shattering their confidence.

I think Porter has grown in stature since the Wolves game he scored a last-minute winner and his confidence and willingness to take on the player has gone up tenfold.
