Well done Nigel Worthington:038: .

Imo he should take great credit for his input. Milan asked him to do a job, and he's done it. When he walked into this club a few weeks ago it was on its knees with the doom and gloom of relegation looming ever closer.
I honestly couldnt see us winning another game when we had 6 to play.

I'm not sure i want him to continue, and Milan will certainly have some serious thinking to do in the summer. But if Nigel Worthington takes charge for the last time against Wolves next week, i think he can walk away with a huge amount of thanks and respect from our fans. He's definately helped to save us from the unthinkable. Well done Wortho:038:

the differenece in the team is visable, and i dont just think it is the "new manager" syndrome we experienced under Kelly but i could be wrong.

I don't think it's the 'new manager' syndrome at all. Unlike Kelly, Worthington has changed the team about, dropping Jarrett and Porter for Mattock and Wesolowski, IMO those 2 players have been our best 2 in the matches that Worthington has been in charge. We once again look organised - something that wont have happened because a manager has left.

even Hughes has had a few good games, including this afternoon..

Exactly the reason i want him as manager.

Awesome today. And to think Mattock is still so young. Lets see if we can go against our history and actually keep this young starlet.

Hughes looked a decent player when he arrived - to be fair, so did Maybury, Fryatt, etc. Stearman was a genuinely huge prospect two yerars ago.

With CL and RK gone, maybe we will stop ruining careers now. We've been holding ourselves and a bunch of players back for a couple of years.

Maybe some of these players will still be able to fulfill their potential at City. It's a long shot, but if we can get this current lot to play how we know they can, get a good manager and four or five quality signings (none of which is impossible) we could be in with a real shout next season.

I managed to get an invite in a box for yesterday, and a stadium tour with a whole load of barnsley fans. fair play to the club they asked who wa a leicester fan an managed to get us into the city dressing room before they arrived. had a good chat with the kit man and he told us a few interesting things, one or two i'm going to keep to myself because he was a bit unsure about telling us and i think i owe him that much (all about past players etc nothing current so don't worry!)

He said there was a lot of uncertainty which he saw as one of the main reasons for the crap form, and a lot of the backroom staff are just trying to keep their heads down in case MM makes a big clear out in the summer.

Said that he really liked NW, they're a good group of lads and he's really made a difference since he's been there plus he's got a bit more of an old school approach which seems to be working. seems to plan things more too - the players went up the night before whereas in the past they'd have gone on the day of the game, not sure if thats NW's idea or just that we can do it now with MM in charge.

Also Mattocks out of next weeks game, got to go to a tounament with England. Says that when NW came in he spoke to almost everybody including the academy bosses hence Mattock being picked. Apparently he's very highly rated by the club along with 3 or 4 others. Bad news is there's already been clubs looking at him but the good news is his dads a huge city fan and hopefully will make sure he stays!
