When I was in Turkey this year I thought it was really cheap. I know the pound's gone down but I can't believe it'll be that dear.

Turkey itself is cheap but Kalkan attracts people who like to chuck money around so as to be expected the locals have started to take advantage.

Taxis some bars and restaurants etc.

As I said I haven't been but have only heard great things.

Probably a lot cheaper than other Med destinations.

I Tralled all along Turkey's southern coast in the last half of the eighties, before really mass tourism began. Fabulous place, incredible history and wonderfully cheap....then.
