They took risks on players that didn't cost much and spent more on players who have been key to us in the last few years. (Wellens and Gally spring to mind)

Sensible transfer policy in my opinion. Morrison is a case in point - one that they took at risk on and actually came good - but he could have quite easily been added to that list if he hadn't of made the step up. You never know how a player is going to adapt at a new club.
