Stoke have signed Portsmouth winger Kevin Harper on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old is reunited with City boss Tony Pulis following their time together at Fratton Park.

Harper has also played for Hibernian, Derby, Walsall, Norwich and Leicester, but failed to hold down a first-team place at Pompey.

Harper could now make his Stoke debut in Saturday's trip to Wigan.

Director of football John Rudge said: "He comes with plenty of experience and he also knows manager Tony Pulis which is a good thing. We feel he's exactly what we've been looking for."

hes always had a lot of potential, but hes 29 now and ive never actually seen him being good. only having potential to be good...

Thanks for the spelling correction silkman, im glad you've come out of the woodwork to add that very meaningful contrabution.

Back to the topic, I thought he was really good in the Cov match and looked like our most dangerous player by far!

he looked brilliant in the rotherham away match because he ran, i thought he looked amazing. but in recent performances more than 2 players have been moving so i'm not 100% to whether he'd look as impressive. good luck to the lad all the same though.
