Stoke have signed Portsmouth winger Kevin Harper on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old is reunited with City boss Tony Pulis following their time together at Fratton Park.
Harper has also played for Hibernian, Derby, Walsall, Norwich and Leicester, but failed to hold down a first-team place at Pompey.
Harper could now make his Stoke debut in Saturday's trip to Wigan.
Director of football John Rudge said: "He comes with plenty of experience and he also knows manager Tony Pulis which is a good thing. We feel he's exactly what we've been looking for."
