Didn't we do this one in the summer? :102:

Perhaps he could do a job if we stayed down, but if Birmingham don't see him as a Premiership player, I see no reason why we should.

Has been a strong impact sub his season. Birmingham are now realistically setting themselves up to a top half premiership team and therefore Phillips probably isn't a way to achieve that. They'll be looking for other younger strikers in the summer. I think he can definitely be a valuable asset to a lower team in the prem though and certainly one for the championship should we not go up.

I don't like players called Kevin.......... not a proper footballs name is it?

I think we shoud leave well alone. Its a season too late for what he will want in wages.

Granted he is a top pro but in the past we have had too many players that were playing a season on too long who cost us a lot of cash for what we got in return (N'Gotty, Pressman, Dublin, Keown,Dickov, Nathan Blake, Scott Gemmill etc).

I think Phillips wont offer much next season in ether division for what he would cost in wages.

Dunno about whether his wages will be that high, Phillips doesn't really strike me as someone after the money so late in his career.

And to use another example, I think Chris Powell has been an expert signing, not in terms of how he has played but in terms of his experience in tutoring young players, from what I gather NP and Powell are the two people who are really the ones talking to players on the training ground while Shakey and Walsh tend to do more the science behind it all.

Even if he doesn't play that much, if he could come into a player/coach role like Powell he could be a great signing for the club.
