Thought this was a nice, even-handed way of approaching the slaughter of animals. Even though the abattoir was way nicer than the one I worked in.
I was impressed how strongly the importance of the craft skills in the abattoir came through in the programme. I first got a job in killing and pre-process because I'd done chicken-killing before - but I'd never been particularly deft with my knife-work (and especially not in keening the end of knife). So I got dumped into processing pretty quickly. But good to see those skills continue - and they are amazing if you see them close up.
