Kisnorbo as we all know is Rob Kelly's number one centre back to play alongside McCarthy. But with McAuley having played well every time he has been in a Leicester shirt, the matches against Birmingham and Southampton in particular, which one of the two would you like to see start at centre half with McCarthy?

How about Kisnorbo and McCauley?

I still ain't sure about Paddy M

With McCarthy being captain, I can't see Kelly dropping him. Stop trying to feck up the thread and answer McAuley or Kisnorbo! :icon_wink

I voted PK but I have this ominous feeling that he is on his way out.

I am not doubting his commitment but I feel he is quite prone to the odd mistake. His positoning isn't great and quite often just seems to swipe at the ball. He can't really do anything other than hoof the ball away which isn't a bad thing for a defender, but sometimes I feel there are better options.
The way he constantly argues his way into the book annoys me too.

I voted McAuley, simply because IMO he has been our best player the last few games. It would be harsh for him to be dropped. However, I'd like to see if he can form an effective partnership with Kisnorbo to give Kelly a real selection problem.

Agree about his mouthing off, he needs to curb that. I just think that he is 100% Leicester.

100% Leicester is a good thing but you can't play someone just for that.
I do like McCarthy, I served him in JJB seemed a very nice person. Just not 100% about him as a player.

I just do not understand your criticisms. Have you seen how old he is, how many first team games he's played? He is still learning and alongside PK I think he can only get better. As for his bookings, I do not recall him being booked this season for 'mouthing off'. If you want to criticise people getting booked look no further than Tiatto, now he's old and still hasn't learnt anything.

Anyway, opinions are all part of football, but as I keep warning you all, keep your opinions on Paddy to yourself near my daughter or you may being having a spot of bovvver. :018: :081:

Oh and as for McAuley, immense on Saturday, but have seen him for Lincoln a few times and was never impressed. I'm hoping that we may have found a solid defender in him and I'm looking forward to seeing how he will do if he gets a run in the side.

I know how old he is and I am well aware that he could turn into a class act for City, but at the moment I just don't think he is. Good luck to him though because as someone has already pointed out he is 100% commited to the cause.

You are right, he is 100% and I think a few others could look to emulating him. I really do think he could turn into a real legend for us, a bit like your potential in the Prediction Cup, but promise you will not have anything pink made for the Final. :icon_bigg

Eh? I think you got the wrong man. I am not he who wears pink.:icon_bigg

To be honest, McAuley should stay in, however McCarthy's injury has reopened the door for Kisnorbo. IMO nobody in the current squad warrants an automatic selection, we need competition for places and it will be a good thing for players such as Kisnorbo, McCarthy, Johnson and Fryatt to realise that should they get injured or suspended then there is a more than adequate replacement.

Kelly has proved he is not afraid to drop Hume, now I would like to see that extended to some of the other first team regulars.

It is a shame McCarthy is injured tonight as it would have done Kisnorbo no harm to sit on the bench for a few games and learn a valuable lesson as to his poor discipline.
