KService.exe

Everytime I startup my computer my firewall asks me if I want to allow communications through KService.exe. I have absolutely no idea what it is, what it does and why it is there which makes me suspicious. The only thing that I have recently installed was Chanel 4 On Demand so it may of came with this.

Has anyone else ever had issues with KService.exe or know what the hell it is!!

It's a peer-to-peer application. It's so users can download stuff from you to avoid strain on the C4 servers.

Hope C4 on demand still works without it. You may have agreed to running kService.exe in the T&Cs.

I removed C4 on demand. It's proper name is 4OD.

It won't necessarily have uninstalled the peer to peer part though.

There is just one file left called:

KSERVICE.EXE-27473821.pf

that is located in:

C:/WINDOWS/Prefetch

Anything to worry about?
