Last week made me cringe.

They had Arctic Monkeys on, then CSS.......then Brian Ferry doing Dylan covers and then some Asian band playing the Sitar. He ;oved all different bands with very different styles.

Check youtube, there always some fan what records it and puts it on the net.

Tbh I generally record it and just fast forward to the bands I like and don’t watch any of the crap with jools or his gushing interviews where he just loves everything everybody does.

Tbh I see your point melts but I don’t believe he books his own guests although I may well be wrong. I have eclectic taste in music but to like some of the tripe he has on you would have to be clinically insane.

It his interviews with “famous” people who are supposedly just sitting in the audience and oh haven’t been paid to appear or anything have. Maybe im just too cynical.

I don't like many genres of music at all but I don't label it shite if I don't like it but neither do i enthuse over it in quite the same way Holland does.Jo Whilley is the same

I didn’t call it shite I called it tripe. Its just an opinion anyway. I was gonna call it the joe whilley effect, the act of claiming to like certain music because it is seen as cool/unusual/different from the main stream.
