I'd pretty much accepted this already judging from the Danish reports but here is confirmation that he aint coming here.
Danish defender Ulrik Laursen is on the way out at Parkhead after agreeing a £50,000 move back to his former club Odense.
The 29-year-old left-back moved out of Parkhead after five years in Scottish football at Celtic and previously at Hibernian.
Laursen agreed a deal with Celtic to quit with two years of his contract remaining to return to his homeland. The Dane rejected offers from FC Copenhagen and Leicester City to sign a four-year deal at Odense.
Laursen said: "Before I took the decision, I had to assess options from other clubs. I enjoyed some amazing years in Scottish football and I learned an awful lot. I feel as though I have now developed as a player. Now, I must concentrate on doing my best for Odense. There is no way I am here for an early retirement. I want to win trophies at the club."
Alex McLeish took Laursen to Easter Road in the summer of 2000 and his impressive form earned him a move to Celtic two years later in a £1.5 million deal.
He made just 34 league stars in three seasons for Martin O'Neill. The Dane joins Joos Valgaeren, Jackie McNamara, Rab Douglas, Momo Sylla and Paul Lambert on the departed list at Celtic.
