My LCFC.com news bar on the right hand side mentions about the Dagenham and Palace FA Cup games.

I can only display the data they supply and it's been rubbish recently. Half the news stories don't appear in their feed these days and occasionally old stuff reappears.
As it's all automated there's nothing I can do about it.

The people who post the news on the OS obviously haven't got a clue what they're doing.

The feed I'm using for the news on here is the same as the one used for the club's desktop alerts thing.
When they add a news item to the site they presumably have to tick a box to include it in the desktop alerts feed, but regularly important items are missed - the kind of things people install the desktop alerts thing to find out about.

They haven't added anything since before the Scunthorpe game. Nothing about the match, nothing about the Hobbs transfer. They always remember to do it when they're trying to sell something though.
If it continues like this I may remove it from the site, it's not a reliable source of new news any more.

They've been getting gradually worse at updating their news xml feed.
Look at their mobile site to see how bad it is... http://mobile.lcfc.com/dsb/lcfc/articleIndex/0,,10274,00.xml - only one "news" item since 22/5, not even a mention of our latest signing.

So I'm trying to avoid using their xml feed and I'm scraping the news from the news page on their site instead. You should now be able to see much more up to date news stories.

I'm not sure how reliable this is going to be so please let me know if it stops working.

It's OK at the moment, but it seems to be unavailable several times a day for a few minutes, and has been ever since I changed it.

So we have the choice of using the club's feed which doesn't include half the news, or my unofficial one which is down from time to time.
I can probably cache the new version so it just shows the previous one when it's not working, but I haven't got time to do that at the moment.
