Posted on another forum, certainly makes for interesting reading, especially when you compare Leveins record against Pleat, but then also look at Bassett's record - terrible.

Aren't stats a complete load of nuts? Judging by these Taylor was only 3% the poorer manager than Martin O'God... Means nowt' these.

Bassett's second spell in charge only lasted four games, and he drew all of them. So a table was done based on games lost he'd look like our best manager :icon_bigg

he was. :icon_lol:

Where's Allan Evans - he had a 100% record, and it was against Arsenal as well :038:

He would love to come back as well, every time he's on TV he mentions how great a club we are.

Wouldn't be the worse call but his position at Tranmere doesn't suggest he's a miracle worker!

I dunno what happened to him after Villa:102:

I read somewhere recently that he's out of football completely now. Can't remember quite what he's up to now but I have sneaking suspicion he might be a driving instructor or something.

Didnt he go and manage one of his and Brian's former clubs for a while. I think it was Darlington

It's getting better by the minute... at this rate we'll end up champions for sure.

Just checked on the Darlington web site and he's not on the list of managers.

I guess working with John Gregory put him off football for life.

He had two days in charge at West Brom, before going to Morton, where he was sacked after 6 months. Then he became manager of Saltash FC in Cornwall. He now runs a driving school.

From a Brum website:

"After Morton, Little almost tempted Evans to re-join him at Tranmere after the pair had linked up at Darlington, Leicester, Villa, Stoke and Albion.

"If an offer had come within a couple of months, I'd have taken it - it didn't," he said.

"But when Brian moved to Tranmere he called to ask if I'd be interested.

"We chatted and I just felt it was the wrong decision. It would have taken me back to square one. And I have no regrets.

"It was nice of Brian, but my family come first - that is unless a big club come in for me.

Then I'd go back into football, but I know myself that that is very unlikely.

"I still miss football. I watch it regularly on TV and I would want to be involved at some level - but I think it has gone.

"Leaving Villa as assistant manager (in February 1998) was the biggest wrench. They are the one club I love and I'd do anything to be involved there.
