Was always going to be a tough ask and didn't expect a result there. Had a good spell at the end of the first half but Ranieri really dropped a bollack with the formation. Hopefully that will bring an end to the call from fans about changing the formation. We need to invest in a new defence. We've got a great prospect in Chilwell coming through, CB wise I think Morgan and Huth both need replacing and would rather see Kasper as club captain from next season on.....

I don't mind losing to Chelsea. In fact I thought we would lose. The problem I have is that we rolled over and let them play with us. We were shite.

Crap formation. CR fecked it up. Gave the players no chance IMO.

Ndidi did ok. Faded in the second half. Thought Mendy looked good in patches too.
Vardy might as well not been on the pitch and Musa is still not good enough.

Personally think we've seen the Champions of this year here today, so i'm not going to over react to this one.

Very poor second half.

We looked good for half an hour in first half but came out badly again in the second half and it was game over when they grabbed their 2nd early in second half.

The tactic switch just didn't really work.

Musa was very poor today.

Chilwell did alright, as did Ndidi and Albrighton

I'm not disheartened by that.

Bravely ambitious by Claudio, I think he will have learned something.

Ndidi looks the biz, I think we've got a good buy there.
About how I feel. Chilwell looked very good as well. I think some people have forgotten that it's still possible for another team to just be better than us because they have better players. It doesn't have to be "we were shit" vs "we were great".

The few times we actually had the ball we continued to use this seasons brilliant tactic of Drinky/Kasper/Fuchs just kicking it to the opposition. Doesn't matter what formation you play when that's your only hand.

Oh well.

Time to put the tin hat on. Saints game is massive now. Need a win there.

Hyperbole aside, a shocking performance.. and even more shocking to leave things unchanged for the second half. First time this season I'm genuinely worried. We looked utterly devoid of ideas and any drive.

Fair enough if that was CR's attempt to mimic Spurs' win against Chelsea, but ****ing change it when it's failing. We don't have the possession or genuine wing backs to dominate play. Ndidi looked composed and the center mid stronger.. Huth / Morgan cannot play in a back 3.

Well, that was shit. Not sure if the new strategy is not to mark the opposition to try and confuse them ... but it doesn't seem to work.

Oh dears.

Seems like every time we put in a great performance this season, it's always followed up by a really bad one. There's signs there (not today, Everton I mean) but we just can't string any kind of run together.

Chilwell did alright, as did Ndidi and Albrighton

It's funny how people see the match differently. I thought Albrighton was abysmal.

Feel completley cheated by the way CR set us up, confused the life out of the players and the watching public by changing formation 3 times in one game. Fuchs is a spent force, the inadequacy of the defence has been obvious since we played PSG and whilst I'm willing to give drinky the benefit of the doubt the rest of the lads were on a hiding to nothing. The don owes the birch an apology after that.

It's funny how people see the match differently. I thought Albrighton was abysmal.

He was literally the only player who created anything of note. He looked like the only player who was ever going to lead to a goal, especially first half, but then was moved to right-back for some unknown reason, which is clearly not his position. Seems a weird player to single out today as abysmal with some of the other performances out there.

Three at the back was as much of a disaster as it looked on paper. We just don't have the personnel for that and it showed on more than a few occasions in the first half. This should have been adapted at the start of the second half. Okay, I didn't expect a point but I thought we'd make it at least challenging for them; we didn't.

Ndidi did well but was flogging a dead horse trying to break up play as we constantly gave the ball away.

As ridiculous as it sounds we need a striker. Yes, we all know that we need defensive reinforcements, that is a must but look at our options up top. Vardy is useless without the same assistance he had last year and he isn't getting that. Okazaki creates but doesn't score, Musa looks completely out of his depth at the minute (I understand he may take time to adapt before anyone jumps on that comment with comparisons to Vardy etc...) and Ulloa is simply not good enough. That leaves Slimani who has shown only glimpses of quality.

As for Mendy, I just don't see what some of you do. He seems unable to link his brain to his feet. He's such a 'messy' footballer (it's the only adjective that I could match him with) and seems to lack ideas.

Oh well. Let's hope a few more will come in before we go again. No real harm done here in terms of league position.
