Bit of a strange performance.

When we get the ball forward with intent, we’re absolutely scintillating and look like we could score every time. But those moments were few and far between, and we gave away possession far too sloppily and could have let them back into the game.

But another 3 points and Southampton losing makes for a decent night.

Job done. Second half was nothing really. At least the club saved some £s by not having to use showers etc. That game was how our players had assumed the away tie against these would go. We could have given them a good bumming but sometimes it's nice and pragmatic to be gentle.

We played some really lovely stuff in the first half, the second goal was thing of beauty.

Start to the second half was just weird, they played well and got in our faces but the players looked tense and disorganised for 20 minutes.

Composed ourselves towards the end but if I’m being critical I’d say there was a hint of arrogance to the way we went about that second half, made weird decisions all over the pitch and no clinical edge to make it three.

Shaping up to be a very successful night all told with Southampton looking like they’re dropping points at Bristol and hopefully bursting their bubble. Better for us that them and Leeds are focussed on each other.
