As we approach the end of the decade, I was thinking about what a rollercoaster we’ve had over the last 10 years, so thought I’d start a thread about it.

What are your favourite things about the last decade? Apart from Boc, I think we can all remember what the most memorable will be, but there will be goals, moments and experiences within that.

There were also a fair few lows in there, so what stands out for you?

Just thought it might be a good time to reflect, that’s all :023:

For me, I’d say some of my favourite moments are:
The Everton match, particularly King’s goal.
The Seville match - a magnificent evening.
Touring Europe with my dad and our friends.
Vardy’s goal against Liverpool.
Seeing Bocelli sing on the pitch.

Bad memories:
The Watford play off semi final.
Kermorgant’s penalty against Cardiff.
The realisation that Claudio’s time was coming to an end.

There will be more, but these are just some that came to mind.

Watching us go down 1-3 to manure knowing no team had ever come back from that then trying to hold back the tears of elation when the 5th City goal went in. Utter magic.

JV reeling off as he slotted past De Gea for no. 11. Pure poetry.

The final minute header from Huth to send Spurs skulking off with their tails between their legs. ****ing karma.

**** me, wells me up just thinking about it. But I'm on my second bottle of Sauvignon.

Nonsense. I remember it well. That chip shop in Crewe is impossible to forget!

(and I do know that was just a little out of the last decade)

Winning at Man City and that hugely underrated Mahrez goal. That’s when I had to accept that it was happening.

Albrighton against Sevilla.

Lloyd at Bolton and Knockaert at Watford in the promotion season.

The return of NP.

Everything about that year was amazing, but this moment felt so fitting as an end to the once in a life time season.

Over the last ten years here's been so many wonderful moments and some pretty horrendous ones too. I can't remember when I signed on to Talkingballs, but it must be over ten years. I’ve really enjoyed joining in on our celebration and commiseration posts on this site with you all over that time. It’s been a source of shared joy on great days and wallowing in collective misery (and ' get-it-off-your-chest' venting) when results went horribly wrong.

Long may it continue – Viva TalkingBalls! Up The City!

I believe it was August 31st 2014.

Don’t ask me how I remember these things, I just do.
