I'm sure it's been mentioned, but the result last night means that we've now qualified for Europe in back-to-back seasons. An awesome achievement in itself, and I believe it's the first time in our history.

What an amazing few years to be a Leicester fan!

Totally missed that but fantastic stuff.

And there's people who still think Brendan isn't right for the job.

We're at a level we've never been at.

Amazing achievement really - long may it continue!

Makes me smile to think of the Puel defenders now - we always had a squad capable of doing more, we just needed a manager to do it.

Amazing achievement.
That said, would much rather watch us getting beaten narrowly by Juve in Turin than beating some shit side in Urshole, Estonia.
So let's get 1 more win! (or two very nailbiting draws....) or 1 very nail biting draw,
Or West Ham draw next up
Or liverpool lose to or draw with Man Yoo
and Everton
Oh forgeddit

Regardless of which of the European competitions we're in next year, we need to strength the depth of our squad quite significantly. Yes, this season we had injuries and no real pre-season, but at times it felt like we were struggling to field a team.

One potentially big impact might be our ability to attract a high quality striker to replace Vardy. Without European football, whoever we bring in may have ended up sitting on the bench as Nacho has had to. With the quantity of games we'll have next season, we should be able to guarantee plenty of game time.

I'm hoping we can move on from relying on championship and other bargain signings and move up a rung on the ladder - that's how we're going to build on this season with immediate impact instead of waiting to develop players. Preferably some hard ****ers too so we can get away from our reputation of being a soft touch.

I do t think we need to buy any differently to how we do now. All that needs to change to give us a greater upward trajectory is to not sell our ‘best’ players to our competitors.

It's all about coefficients for us now. We need to accrue points to not be lower seeds and give us a fighting chance in these competitions.

For example, current coefficients show us as 51st in Europe which is good for the Europa League but terrible for the Champions League. And most of those points were gained in 16/17 and those will be removed after next season because they are only counted for five years.

For comparison, these are the current coefficients for the 'big seven' PL sides;

Man City - 125,000 - ranked 3rd
Man Utd - 112,000 - ranked 8th
Liverpool - 101,000 - ranked 9th
Arsenal - 99,000 - ranked 10th
Chelsea - 96,000 - ranked 12th
Spurs - 88,000 - ranked 15th
Leicester 32,000 - ranked 51st

How do the points work please?
