when are we going to get an official statement regarding this fiasco. Surely the board must have been prepared for a "no".

If its Kelly for now.. are they waiting until after Saturdays match?

Fiasco? We don't even know if we offered him the job, and if we didn't, there's nothing to comment on. As for Kelly, one would suspect some words might be being said behind the scenes.

Why would we give an official statement? 'Davies said "No one wants to come to Leicester, we're interviewing some more people but they're not our first or even second choices"'. I think Tim has already said that he won't comment on speculation...we didn't get anything from them after Cotterill or Davies either...

As for why they've not appointed Kelly, either they'll be waiting to see what the weekends result is or they're still going after someone else.

Having read most of the postings im still not 100% sure we offerred Newell the job.
Thats why i would welcome a statement from Davies to confirm:

a. Newell was offerred the post and declined or

b. We have other candidates to consider or

c. Kelly is in charge until the end of the season

At the moment we as fans havent a clue whats going on (only what the media tell us)

please can everyone accept this is the end of our approach for mike newell-hes not going to change his mind in the summer-whats done is done and the sooner everyone accepts that the better.

The Club have made it clear to us that they are not in any hurry to name a new manager and that the process will take its course. Why would you want them to make a statement about every bit of speculation and rumour that you hear in the press? I would prefer them to maintain their dignity. They will tell us when they have got something to tell us.

A. You're right - we didn't offer Newell the job

B. It's not just the fans that haven't got a clue........

Well what did happen that make MN decide to stay at Luton?

Bob, what the funk is going on pal. Will we ever attract a replacement, are the board being too cautious and therefore managers are being put off ie Newell and Cotterill.

Easy PFKA, not sure its a case of caution, more a case of both parties not feeling 100% about it (certainly in Newell's case, I believe we weren't convinced he was the right man!)

Just read the stuff from Kamara - some excellent responses from the TB crew but unfortunately, in footballing circles, this is how we are viewed now.....

Victory at the Withdean tomorrow will see RK remain till the end of the season - a not bad thing in my view, but as we all know, a couple of defeats and the heat will soon be back on both RK and the board...

IMO one game should not determine whether RK gets the gig or not until the end of the season, we have done well under him, and regardless of tomorrows result he is either the best option or he isnt. I believe that kelly should be given the job and end the speculation. We will not go down, I have seen enough in the 3 performances since Kelly took over to see he has got a reaction from the players, and I will feel the same win, lose or draw at 5.00 tomorrow evening.

But, PFKA, do you believe this is what the board - or should I say Tim and Jim - will do......???

And if so, why are they so actively searching for a new man....??

I dont know mate, maybe the board are frightened of not appointing a "name" just in case it fcuks up. At least if they appoint somebody that the fans are backing then it would be difficult to throw flak back at them were it to go wrong. Kelly has done well, as well as could have been hoped, so why look for somebody else, the answer is sat right in front of their noses.

Because Kelly has clearly stated he doesn't want the job?

Possibly, the longer this goes on the more I am inclined to agree, or maybe he hasnt shown the board enough that he really wants the job, maybe instead of waiting for the door to open, the board want Kelly to smash the fecker in and demand it.

Really don't think he'll do that. Another win today and it would be ridiculous not to appoint him IMO. 9 points out of 9 would be an amazing return; however should Fryatt score again, you have to wonder whether CL would've achieved similar.
