Morgan has a back injury. But if you listen to Alan Young he's obviously not in the team for transfer related reasons. Which is what he also said when Knockaert and Konchesky were out of the starting 11 and as far as I know they ate both still at the club.

Stringer said it was a back injury (I presume he has that on good authority)

But in Konchesky's case at least, he was right.
