On tonight’s outing, we can do this. Would like to see Ricardo subbed on at some point but generally, if they’re fit, same again.

Same lineup again if they're all ready to go. Short turnaround this time though.

Hopefully Vardy and LW are both okay.

Chelski have better indvidual players than Southampton but Southampton have a better manager and better tactics, if we play like we did last night I think it will be an easier game, we also have to get over the giggling like schoolgirls when we face the bigger teams.

I imagine only change might be to keep Soyuncu in place and potentially vardy might not start?

Inclined to agree. Particularly with the latter. Vardy's, achem, getting on and probably takes a little longer to recover, even without a knock/injury. I'd be surprised if he's fit and ready to play. That said, he'd not play next weekend I suspect, so he has that bit of recovery time.

I just checked and we had 39 points at the half way point of last season with 12 wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats. At half way in our title win, we had 39 points too.

This game takes us half way this season and a win would take us to 38 points with 12 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats.

Given everything we've been up against with injuries and the extra EL matches, this is a really positive position to be in. We could also put 9 points between us and FLs Chelsea.

The other point in advance of this match is that it is the final one of our first six against the 'big six'. We have 10 points from 5 games so far which is already more than we got in all 12 games against them last season.

Nice analysis.

Same team with the exception of Soy in for Little Wes. If Vardy isn't fit play Perez up there. If that isn't possible, play Barnes up there. If that isn't possible, play a mop in a Leicester shirt. Just anything or anyone other than Nacho.

I'm very much with Blue Maniac Blue Maniac here. Rodgers has shown this season that we now have the tactics and the balls to play to the 'big boys' and come out with a result.

Win and we're guaranteed to be top of the league.

Man City play on Weds night against Aston Villa (who you would imagine are well rested, but potentially rusted by now). Liverpool play Burnley on Thursday night.

Chilwell bound to score. Werner bound to end his drought. Mount bound to make it three games on a row. Joe_Fox bound to be wrong. Leicester 2 - 0 Chelsea

This’ll be 72-0 to them, with Chilwell scoring 71. Some kicker who hasn’t scored for 3 years will get the other one.

Looking at the table makes me feel a bit nervous about this one.

It's so tight at the top, and I think the next few weeks will be season defining for several of those teams.

We're at the halfway stage and I think some will start to drift away, and others pull ahead in the comings weeks. Hopefully we're in that second group.

We're 6 points ahead of Chelsea now, so this is a great opportunity to put some real distance between us and a top 4 contender.

FL has got the players, he just needs to get the blend right. He'll get there either by trial and error, following advice (less likely) or sheer bloody minded perseverance (probably this, that's how he played too) No shortage of self-belief and tenacity in that guy even if he'll never be the sharpest tool in the box.
